IF - slither

"Jelly slithered down Junie's chin, but she didn't care, PB and J's were her favorite! With the crust cut off, of course!"

I figured there would be a lot of snakes and worms for this week's Illustration Friday, but I wasn't feeling so slithery, so I did something a bit different. PB and J's are still one of my favorite foods! Of course, now I make them with whole wheat bread, reduced fat natural peanut butter and sugar free raspberry jelly, instead of Wonder bread, Creamy Jif and grape jelly. Still just a kid at heart, though.

IF - early

For Illustration Friday this week - kiddos watching Leave it to Beaver, in the early days of television. The entertainment world's come a long way since then, huh? What was considered pretty cool back then is pretty much a snooze fest now. I still have a place in my heart for the old shows though...Leave it Beaver, Gilligan's Island, Green Acres. Those were the good ole' days.

IF - cocoon

For Illustration Friday this week, with the word of the week, cocoon. I thought there would be a lot of butterflies and pods for this challenge, so I decided to go a different route and do the ultimate cocoon, a mom-to-be. I chose a soft color palette and illustrated an adult instead of kids or animals! A bit of a change from my usual stuff...

new from a muse

Look at these fun mugs A Muse just got in! I designed the art for them awhile back for tee shirts, but Linda decided to put it on these mugs instead and it was a fabulous idea. They are so adorable. If you can't read the writing, it says "stamp all night, sleep all day." I'm not a stamper, but I know a lot of woman who are and they often stay up late, after the kids go to bed, stamping and creating and it's hard to quit, when they are on a roll.
